Reflect & Connect

The Institute continues here.

Some of the most valuable parts of the CEE-Change Leadership Institute happen in conversation: talking through an idea with another Fellow, hearing how someone in a different community approaches the same challenge, testing an assumption, or realizing that someone else has already wrestled with the question you are asking.

This is a space to keep those conversations going across cohorts, communities, and countries. Bring a question, respond to another Fellow, share something you tried, celebrate progress, or reflect on an idea that changed your work.

Reflection of the Month

What is one idea from the Leadership Institute that changed the way you approach your Community Action Project?

Was there a speaker, Fellow, conversation, activity, or experience that helped you see your work differently?

Share your reflection, then read what Fellows from other cohorts and communities are taking away. You can also reply directly to another Fellow.

Ask the Fellows

CEE-Change Fellows work across schools, nonprofits, universities, governments, museums, youth programs, watersheds, neighborhoods, and communities around the world. Someone in another cohort may have experience that can help you think through your next step.

Ask a real question about your Community Action Project, request a resource, share a challenge, or invite another perspective.

Community Action Projects

Bring a partnership challenge, project decision, obstacle, experiment, or next step.

Looking for a Resource

Ask for a tool, reading, activity, example, contact, or approach another Fellow recommends.

International Perspectives

Compare how environmental education and civic engagement work in different communities and countries.

Climate + Resilience

Discuss climate education, adaptation, resilience, justice, and community action.

Equity + Trust

Consulting Trio: Online Edition

Consulting Trios give Fellows space to think through a real challenge with peers. Bring a challenge to the wider CEE-Change community and let other Fellows help you see it differently.

Before you post, think through:

  1. What challenge are you working through?
  2. What have you already tried?
  3. What assumptions might you be making?
  4. What would useful progress look like?
  5. What question do you want other Fellows to help you answer?

Bring a challenge to your peers

Try Something. Then Come Back.

Try one idea from this Learning Hub in your work. What happened?

The most useful learning is not always a success story. Share what you tried, what surprised you, what did not work, what you changed, and what you would do differently next time.

Celebrations + Wins

CEE-Change work can be slow, complicated, and hard to measure. Make room to notice progress: a new partnership, a breakthrough with a participant, a project milestone, an unexpected lesson, or a moment when something finally clicked.

Community Agreements

  • Participate as yourself. This is a professional learning community, not an anonymous message board.
  • Ask before assuming. Fellows work in different communities, cultures, countries, organizations, and civic contexts.
  • Share experience, not only advice. “Here is what happened when I tried this” can be more helpful than “Here is what you should do.”
  • Protect community trust. Do not share private, identifying, or sensitive information about community members without permission.
  • Make room for uncertainty. Experiments, mistakes, changing your mind, and unanswered questions are part of learning.
  • Help one another move forward. The goal is to help another Fellow see possibilities they might not see alone.
